"Slack Tide, Halibut Cove" by Bob Thompson, is a memory from a beautiful little place in Southcentral Alaska known as Halibut Cove. This artists/fishing community is also a bit of a tourist destination, albeit not as well-known as Denali or some of the more visited locations in Alaska. Halibut Cove is located across Kachemak Bay from Homer - "Lands End" for the Kenai Peninsula, and is almost entirely built at tidewater.
